When a child loses a primary tooth too early, space maintainers can prevent other teeth from eroding into the space and blocking the proper emergence of permanent teeth. These devices are simple but efficient. They can greatly reduce the extent of future dental treatment needed for development or serial extractions.

Crowding crossbites, as well as some breathing issues, can be associated with narrow upper jaws. Palatal expanders not only solve these problems but also promote healthy development by alleviating restriction while guiding the growth of permanent teeth. The goal is to minimize the need for invasive surgical intervention later in life.

Active modification appliances correct jaw position during critical portions of a child's growth period. This therapy helps harmonize overbites, underbites, and misaligned jaws while ensuring more balanced growth between the two halves within their developing bones.

The upper set fitting into the lower rest position constitutes a crossbite relationship, which bone growth will further exacerbate if not corrected. Early intervention using removable or fixed braces addressing balance bites eliminates this risk, along with preventing asymmetric wear on teeth caused by crooked jaws.

Eruption guidance supervises the development of permanent dentitions. By monitoring their trajectory and controlling the order of their emergence, we can avoid overlaps, malalignment, and potential future multiple extractions.

The corrective orthopedic treatment focuses on expanding and developing the arches to create space for permanent teeth. This also improves facial symmetry, which helps prevent overcrowding in the future while fostering an attractive smile and favorable facial features.

Interceptive orthodontic treatment is best initiated between the ages of 6 and 10 when a child has a mix of baby and permanent teeth. An early evaluation enables us to determine if preemptive action is necessary.
They might need it. While the chances of incisors mispositioning are reduced with interceptive orthodontics, some children may still require Phase 2 braces after all permanent teeth have erupted for further refinement.
No pain at all! Treatment from active space maintainers to palatal expanders or growth modification devices is done calmly, taking into consideration the child’s comfort level. Both parents and children find their experience soothing with our professionals, ensuring that there is no stress whatsoever.
Most Phase 1 treatments range between 9-12 months upon assessment, followed by close observation until further intervention (Phase 2, if indicated).
Guided eruption through the extraction of a specific sequence of primary (and sometimes permanent) teeth is referred to as serial extraction. This treatment is typically reserved for cases with severe crowding that cannot be treated with other interceptive techniques.
